The 34-photo exhibition features the work of eight Boston-area mothers documenting firsthand their experiences relating to food, housing, health, and education. Accompanying testimonials underscore the everyday challenges the women face in feeding their families.
Stephanie Ettinger de Cuba, senior project manager at the BUSPH Data Coordinating Center and research and policy director at Children's HealthWatch, helped organize the exhibition.
"Witness to Hunger" is the Boston debut of a national project, created by the Center for Hunger-Free Communities at the Drexel University School of Public Health in Philadelphia, that documents familial hunger and poverty through the eyes of those experiencing it.
