Biography

Dr. Weinberg has a ScD in Biostatistics and is Professor of Biostatistics, Mathematics and Statistics. She has taught several courses in the department including the Design and Conduct of Clinical Trials (BS722), Intermediate Statistical Computing and Applied Regression Analysis (BS805) and Analysis of Correlated Data (BS857). Dr. Weinberg is the statistical consultant for the Department of Medicine (DOM) and was the statistical reviewer for the BUMC Institutional Review Board for many years. She has also collaborated on several studies with the department of Environmental Health at BUSPH including the Superfund Project(www.busbrp.org). As part of this work, she is exploring methods to detect and analyze disease patterns in spatial epidemiologic data. These methods will be applied to data from studies on Cape Cod, Massachusetts to investigate potential environmental sources of disease risk.
