Youth Alcohol Prevention Center

The Youth Alcohol Prevention Center was established at the Boston University School of Public Health in February 2004, with a five-year grant from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). Our research, training, and evaluation initiatives seek to understand the etiology and consequences of drinking by young people. In our experimental work, we develop and test interventions for the prevention and treatment of youth drinking. All center initiatives are provided with state-of-the-art resources in data management and analytic support from a dedicated core team of experts at the Boston University School of Public Health's Data Coordinating Center.
