Law and Ethics in Rationing Access to Care in a High-Cost Global Economy |
We are pleased to invite you to the Second Biennial Seminar on Health Law and Bioethics, to be held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, on 30-31 May 2007. The Seminar is a joint venture of the Department of Health Law, Bioethics and Human Rights, Boston University School of Public Health, and the Discipline of Health Law, Ethics and Biolaw, National School of Public Health, New University of Lisbon. The Seminar immediately precedes the Health Law Professors Conference on June 1-2, 2007, and offers a chance to explore international perspectives on health law and human rights issues. Both programs will take place at Boston University School of Law.
The biennial seminars are designed to build bridges between American and Portuguese institutions in the fields of health law, bioethics, and human rights. They offer an exceptional opportunity for faculty and researchers to exchange ideas, enhance their teaching and scholarship, and enrich institutions in Portugal and the United States.
The subject of this Second Biennial Seminar is "Rationing Access to Care in a High-Cost Global Economy." Enclosed is a copy of the program. This conference is free and requires only your RSVP, due to limited space. Please email your request to Martha Cassin at
