The Department of Health Law, Bioethics,
and Human Rights offers the following degree programs:
The Master
of Public Health degree program, with
a concentration in Health Law, Bioethics, and
Human Rights, provides foundational instruction in
public health law, which students complement with
advanced studies in bioethics or other selected topics
within the discipline. This degree is appropriate
for students planning careers in law, public policy,
advocacy, or academia. In addition, the program prepares
students for a variety of careers across the spectrum
of public health, including hospital administration,
biomedical research, law, and regulatory affairs.
The
Juris Doctor/Master
of Public Health dual degree program
is offered by the School of Public Health and the
School of Law and is suitable for students who wish
to pursue professional training in law and public
health on an accelerated schedule.
