The Health & Disability Research (HDR) Institute and the Department of Health Policy & Management at the Boston University (BU) School of Public Health seek applicants for a research faculty position.  The BU HDR Institute is a campus-wide, interdisciplinary focal point for health outcomes and related health services research.  The HDR Institute was established in 1997 and offices are located at the Boston University Medical Campus in the BU School of Public Health’s Talbot building.

The HDR Institute is comprised of seven faculty members, support staff, several post doctoral fellows and doctoral and master’s degree students.  HDR Institute focuses on interdisciplinary clinical and health services research.  Current projects include developing and implementing state-of-the-art outcome measures and conducting clinical trials and observational research in post acute care, gerontology, pediatrics, and rehabilitation.

Applicants must have: (1) a research doctoral degree in a relevant field and three or more years of research experience, (2) expertise in rehabilitation and disability research, (3) a track record of publications and funded research, and (4) strong analytical and communication skills, including proficiency in scientific writing.  Successful applicants will collaborate with faculty and students on research activities, direct ongoing research projects, and develop independent research projects.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
