Distinguished Alumni Awards |
In 1989, BUSPH began the tradition of recognizing alumni achievement by presenting the Distinguished Alumni Awards. The award recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to the field of public health on a local, national, or international level. Recipients must exemplify dedication to the public health ideals of promoting the health and well-being of those in need, particularly the disadvantaged, underserved, and vulnerable. Alumni from all walks of life and all sectors of public health have been recognized in previous years. In 2009, Ayorinde Ajayi, MD, MPH '82, Mireille (Mickey) Aramati, MPH '86, and Onyeka Obasi, MPH '05, received the School's top alumni award. You will find a complete list of past recipients below.
