Biostatistics

Research
Biostatistics faculty and students work closely with a number of collaborative medical research projects. These statisticians are actively involved in the analysis and interpretation of results, as well as the design and conduct of studies. By working closely with experts in the health sciences, biostatisticians can help to ensure that research is on a solid statistical and scientific footing. In addition to an extensive collaborative effort, the Department of Biostatistics is committed to the development of statistical methodology in order to better analyze and interpret studies in public health and medicine.

Department faculty work closely with clinicians, bench researchers, other professionals, and social scientists. These collaborative research efforts range from clinical trials to observational studies to laboratory experiments.
