What We Do: Capacity Strengthening |
CGHD scientists understand that in order to improve and advance health
and social development, investments must be made in human and
institutional capital. Strengthening the capacity of developing and
transitional countries is one of the CGHD's essential goals. To
achieve this goal, CGHD researchers focus on asking critical questions
and conducting the highest quality applied research in their studies.
The CGHD also focuses on creating experiential learning environments
for collaborating scientists to learn how to conduct better research.
CGHD researchers have lead workshops and courses which train scientists
in areas such as research design, proposal development, data analysis,
and report writing.
