Graduation Check-List: (see below for additional information)

• Complete all degree requirements
• Resolve any incomplete grades from prior semesters by the beginning of May unless you are sitting in the class in spring 2012
• Pay any balance due on your student account
• Complete exit counseling with the Office of Student Financial Services if required

To qualify for graduation, a degree candidate must have completed all degree requirements, must have no outstanding debt to Boston University, and must submit a graduation application to the BUSPH Registrar's Office. Submitting an application indicates that you plan to complete all degree requirements and have grades in for all incomplete classes. Concentrations, degree programs and faculty may set specific deadlines that students must meet to graduate, and students must adhere to those deadlines.

Spring 2012 doctoral and master's of science thesis students must follow the published thesis and dissertation calendar.  Oral defense must be held by April 13, 2012, and the approved and signed thesis or dissertation is due to Mugar Library by April 30, 2012.  Need formatting help? Single-degree MPH students must complete a self-audit of their graduation requirements. Select and print the audit sheet appropriate for your concentration and year of matriculation. Students who changed or added concentrations after starting their MPH program are responsible for the new or added concentration requirements at the time of the change. MPH graduation applications without an audit will be considered incomplete and not reviewed.Dual degree candidates do not have to submit an audit sheet.

MS thesis students and Doctoral students planning to graduate in academic year 2012-2013 should follow the published calendar when scheduling their oral defense and preparation of their final product for Mugar Library. 

Please note that there are three graduation dates each year (September 25, January 25, and May), but only one Commencement ceremony, which is held in May. Consult the Commencement website for details or contact Student Services at BUSPH for more information regarding the May commencement ceremony.
