Engaging our local and professional communities with the work of BUSPH is an important task which the Practice Office encourages and supports school wide. In addition, our staff provides leadership for a number of programs. Our work can be understood in two categories:
Public Health Systems and Workforce Development Programs
BUSPH serves as a convener and host for initiatives that focus on critical issues for the local public health community. Combining service, education, and research, the Practice Office has taken on a range of issues including, emergency preparedness, workforce training & credentialing, practice-based research and disparities in public health services.

Community Partners Programs
Throughout the year, the Practice Office facilitates and promotes community programs with education and health objectives. These programs encourage collaboration between BUSPH and our neighbors in Greater Boston and provide important opportunities for our students to grow professionally through service to their communities.
